Jockum Nordström at Ekely

"Tre Årtier / Three Decades", Ekely, Copenhagen, Denmark, 20.2–15.3 2025

Three Decades is the first retrospective exhibition of Nordström's graphic works in Denmark. Jockum Nordström (b. 1963) is one of Sweden's leading artists with a long and distinguished international career. The exhibition will consist of graphic works from 1999 to 2024.

Jockum Nordström's works are represented in museums around the world, including Centre Pompidou, Paris, MOMA, New York, SFMOMA, San Francisco and Moderna Museet, Stockholm.

Emma Rosenzweig writes about the artist:

And in the real world he sits, the artist, who hides both a child and a man. Tall and slender in a fine, checked cotton shirt with the sleeves folded up over his elbows. He is leaning against the wooden chair, looking at something at the other end of the room. He is slight in stature, his gray-black hair falls to one side of his defined, handsome face, he waves it away with his hand every now and then. He could be a movie star, but he's not. He is a spectator in his own kitchen, a kitchen in a big house on the Swedish island of Gotland.
