Jens Fänge is known for his figurative and surreal paintings and is a leading representative of the “new figuratives”.
Realism and dreams are side by side in his works and his paintings demand a lot of the viewer.
Jens Fänge (born 1965) lives and works in Stockholm. He studied at Hovedskous art school and the Valand Academy of Art and Design and has exhibited at a number of prestigious institutions and galleries, both in Sweden and abroad.
This spring Jens Fänge will enter uncharted territory as he uses a new material: clay! At KKAM he will not exhibit surreal paintings, but pottery, that he will make in the KKAM Studio in Höganäs. We think it’s great and are excited to see what comes out from the workshop.
