En målning av Otto Dix, Neugeborenes Kind auf Händen (Ursus) från 1927 dök upp i minnet när jag skulle utföra mitt assemblage. Jag har lånat svärtan som omger det nyfödda barnet och händerna som håller om det. I min målning formar barnet ett V med sina fingrar. Ett segertecken. Kanske målade jag det så för att jag såg samma tecken, men med tårna, hos Dix. Men nu minns jag inte längre.

A painting by Otto Dix, "Neugeborenes Kind auf Händen (Ursus)" from 1927 came to mind when I was putting together my assemblage. I have borrowed the blackness that surrounds the newborn baby and the hands that hold it. In my painting, the child forms a V with his fingers. A sign of victory. Maybe I painted it that way because I saw the same sign, but with the toes of the baby in Dix's painting. But at this point I do not remember.
