Richard Johansson | Travelogues

Travelogues is Richard Johansson's sixth solo exhibition in the gallery. The title of the exhibition is not based on actual journeys. Rather, the dreams and fantasies about places and events, and by travelling back in time.

The trip is made by using pictures and objects that the artist has collected in different situations. The destination and artistic expressions have been open during the process. The result that now is presented can be described as a cabinet of an eccentric collector with sculptures, paintings, drawings and objects.

Reseskildringar är Richard Johanssons sjätte separatutställning på galleriet. Titeln till trots handlar utställningen inte om faktiska resor. Snarare om drömmar och fantasier om platser och händelser, och tankar som färdas bakåt i tiden.

Resan är gjord med hjälp av bilder och föremål som konstnären samlat på sig i olika sammanhang. Resmålet och de konstnärliga uttrycken har varit obestämda under arbetets gång och det som nu presenteras kan beskrivas som ett kabinett hos en excentrisk samlare av skulpturer, målningar, teckningar och objekt.
