Time Waits for Us: Gallery Artists

Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to announce a group exhibition that will be on display throughout the summer. In conjunction with the inauguration of Nationalmuseum’s temporary space with the exhibition Carl Larsson - Friends and Enemies in our building (The Royal Academy of Fine Arts), we will show Time Waits for Us. This exhibition presents new works by all of our gallery artists.

It gives the visitors an opportunity to experience contemporary ideas in a historical perspective. What happens now, a century later?
The exhibition title Time Waits for Us is a play on the phrase ”Time Waits for No One” which of course is more true. The title, however, holds more interpretive possibilities and brings to mind questions about the artist’s/art’s role, time, existence, life and death.

Galleri Magnus Karlsson har glädjen att presentera en grupputställning som pågår under hela sommaren. I samband med att Nationalmuseum öppnar sina tillfälliga lokaler i Konstakademiens hus med utställningen Carl Larsson – vänner och ovänner visar vi Time Waits for Us med nya verk av alla galleriets konstnärer.

Detta ger besökaren en möjlighet att se ett utsnitt ur samtiden i ett historisk perspektiv. Vad händer nu, 100 år senare? Titeln Time Waits for Us är en lek med uttrycket ”Time Waits for No One” som förstås är mer sant. Titeln rymmer dock fler tolkningsmöjligheter och för tankarna till frågor kring konstnärens/konstens roll, tid, existens, liv och död.
