Most of the time, my stories are based on some kind of truth. This story is not something I just invented, most of it comes from a short film clip by Micke Dubois, his alter ego was "Svullo". He was a fantastic man but also a completely crazy filmmaker who did slapstick in a way that no one else has done before. In my favorite movie, the grown-up Svullo stands on a car roof wearing only a pair of large white underpants. That image popped into my head when I was working on a painting that would represent "Bus Ove Eriksson" a successful rally driver who was a wild brain of the worst kind but now it became Svullo.
